Play It Again Music Center was founded in 1986 by Carol Scarlett.  From humble beginnings, she started out of her house in Austin, Texas.  A few years later, she has her own store front located in Central Austin.

Carol has a wonderful personality and people just love her.  She also knows her stuff when it comes to music instruments.  She is a wealth of information.

Her main focus is on helping the customer, and it comes through.  She wishes to cultivate music in others, and to this end, has the lowest rates in town when it comes to renting band instruments. 

In her spare time, which isn't much.. Carol gives lessons in her home on a variety of instruments.  She also runs a bookkeeping company named Scarlett Books.

Carol has a wonderful family.  Mitch, her husband, and two daughters Jennifer and Angie.  Mitch helps out around the store when he can.  Jennifer is happily married and has four children. 

Her daughter, Angie, is married to Walter Hutcherson's son, Ken Hutcherson.  Ken has his own speaker and amplifier refurbishing company called Mustang Speakers.  You can find out more about his business on our repair department page.  They have a wonderful baby boy, Johnny.

Johnny stops by several times each week to visit his grandparents, Carol and Walter.  His favorite instrument is the guitar, which he likes to strum in his grandpa's lap.

Carol attends PromiseLand Church in central Austin with her husband, Mitch.  They love the Lord and give thanks to Him everyday for all that He has blessed them with.
